Current Energy: Q4 2008 Print Ads

November 28, 2008

Client:
Current Energy provides energy-efficiency solutions to both residential and commercial customers designed to maximize energy cost savings while minimizing capital investment. Current Energy has a consumer-facing retail presence with two Current Energy Stores – one located in the fashionable Knox-Henderson shopping district of Dallas, Texas, and the other in Dallas's upscale Northpark Center mall.

Situation:
Current Energy had purchased print media space for the fourth quarter that targeted both their residential and commercial customers (in separate publications). New creative was needed for these insertions.

Objectives:
The objective for both ads was to educate the reader about Current Energy's earth-friendly gifts, and ultimately inspire the audience to visit Current Energy's online store or retail locations.

Strategies & Tactics:
As part of our overall holiday strategy for Current Energy, Farstar had created a graphical look for their billboards, retail signage, product catalog, their website and, ultimately, these print ads. Tone of voice remained consistent for the brand (clever, intelligent, helpful), with an extra dash of Yuletide cheekiness.

Results:
Another successful project. See below.

Aimed at Current Energy's residential customers, this ad reminds people that one-stop shopping can take place somewhere besides Wal-Mart or Amazon.com:
