We're Cultured. Really.

This Saturday (October 25), a few of us are getting cleaned up – hey, it's possible – and attending Frisco's cultural event of the year. Now, if you don't know anything about Frisco, you might assume this event has something to do with tossing cow chips. Hardly. That hasn't happened since 2002. Just kidding, Mayor Maso.
No, we're attending the 2008 Frisco Arts Gala. In fact, we're even sponsoring part of the event – the live auction that raises money for the Frisco Arts organization. And, as we are wont to do, we lent our own creative skills to the affair. We wrote an article for their newsletter, created a print ad for the event's program and designed bid paddles for the auction (see photos below).

I was asked to create a little Farstar commercial while introducing the live auction we sponsored. That is below:
It should come as no surprise that Farstar, as a company, supports the arts. After all, a good chunk of what we do every day is creative work. (Sure, it's in the realm of commercial arts, but it's not as detached from fine art as some would have you believe.) And we love supporting local arts in particular. We have works by a couple of local artists in our house/office. Some of it is functional art and some is, well, arty art. We even had our logo recreated in sculpture form. Top that, Richards Group.
If you aren't attend the Gala, you're really missing out. We'll be all fancied up at the Westin Stonebriar Resort eating, drinking and being merry (which isn't much different than usual, actually) and raising money for a great cause.
Here's the scoop straight from Frisco Arts:

Hope to see you there. And if not, I'm sure I'll have another post up here shortly with all the details. And maybe even some pics.
