ThinkCash - PayDay One 2008 Customer Testimonials
March 02, 2008
Client:
ThinkCash Inc. is a corporation (whose website was also created by Farstar) with two primary brands: PayDay One and ThinkCash. In both, all loan applications and funds transfers are handled electronically,
making the process much more convenient for their customers.
Situation:
ThinkCash had used us in the past to produce customer testimonials for their PayDay One television commercials. Now they wanted a few more testimonials to use on their website.
Objectives:
Produce testimonials in which the customers hit upon the key features of PayDay One while helping them sound natural, yet without feeding them lines. We knew that nothing sounds worse – or is more transparent – than scripted testimonials.
Strategies & Tactics:
We found the easiest way to get the answers we sought was to let the customers know beforehand what questions we were going to ask. After all, asking someone to answer any question on the fly, while on camera, without pausing several times is kind of an impossible request. We knew that drawing out their answers depended on making a connect with them – just like we do with all our marketing. It's just that this time, we were face-to-face.
Results:
Upon seeing these, most people are not only surprised that we didn't feed these lines to the customers, they're surprised we didn't hire actors. And that's the highest compliment we think we can receive on this one. Well, the fact that the client loved them didn't hurt, either.
