Meet Randy
January 14, 2008
Posted by Randy.
I joined Farstar in the spring of 2007 as a developer. It quickly became obvious that development wasn't the best role for me, and I transitioned back to my role as designer. One of my first (and ongoing) achievements here was transitioning our Lead Machine sitelets from being html-based into richer, Flash-based interactive experiences.
Today I am the agency's Art Director. Which means that on top of my design work I also oversee projects from interactive and broadcast, to print and outdoor. I'm also an illustrator and have integrated this skill into as many projects as I can (assuming it's right for the project, of course).
When I'm not at the office I love online gaming, sketching and drawing, painting, plunking on my bass to my favorite heavy metal tune or watching old B-movies. My usual attire of choice is any t-shirt of any metal band I like and jeans.
On a completely random note, I wish I had a duck named Butch.

When you view a piece of Farstar's work, you're really looking at a little bit of Randy. If he didn't design it himself, he undoubtedly oversaw its creation with Kevin to ensure it looked just right. Because in spite of his personal appearance, Randy knows that in marketing, looks matter.
