Meet Leigh Anne

January 14, 2008

Posted by Leigh Anne.

The abridged story of my adult life:

Went to college, left college, got married, had a kid, got divorced, went back to college, got a degree, came to work here, the end.

The not-so-abridged version:

In May 2007 I graduated from The University of Texas at Dallas with a bachelor's degree in Art and Performance. It took me 13 years, but I finally got that piece of paper that proclaims I am a full-fledged adult and not a college kid anymore. I live in Plano with my six-year-old son, my soon-to-be second husband and our fat cat, Lucky, aka Roadkill. We spend most of our time with my son, so my interests tend to revolve around video games, animated movies and football. Throw in a few hours a week of my online game Lineage 2 and – voila – my social life is complete.

I'm not one of the girly girls. I am infinitely more interested in Monday Night Football than Sex and the City. I drive a boring car, but secretly pretend it's Eleanor – the 1967 Mustang GT500 from the movie Gone in 60 Seconds. Someday it will be. I'm a die-hard Green Bay Packers fan and named my son Brett Robert in honor of Brett Favre and Robert Brooks. May the gods smile upon us and give Brett the talent to be an NFL player and a college scholarship to go with it.

As far as my career goes, I have run the gamut from accounting, to production, to graphic design and back again. I plan to retire from Farstar if Kevin will let me. It's great to finally find somewhere that I can be my geek-girl self and still know that there will always be someone geekier than me. With the in-house antics and chicanery, there are always things to laugh about.  I am currently the Traffic Coordinator; my job is to keep the production schedule moving.  I'm also making a valiant attempt to use the degree I worked so hard for and move over to the design side of the house. My true passion is 3D modeling and animation and I am working on some of the 3D models for Farstar's soon-to-be updated (yet again) website.

That's my story so far.  I'm sure there is much more to come.

Leigh Anne is our Traffic Coordinator. Which is a fancy term for Cat Herder. Without her, well, let's not even think about what would happen without her.
