Meet Laura

January 22, 2008

Posted by Laura.

I was born in Detroit Rock City back before the city got all cleaned up (kidding, Detroit will never be clean). My family moved to Plano, Texas, when I was three-years-old, and my parents still live in the same house today. When I was 19, I moved to Las Vegas. Yes, that Las Vegas. Obviously, I'm unable to report on what I did there since what happens in Vegas...yadda yadda.

When I moved back to Texas, my friend (and now co-worker) Sean suggested I interview with Kevin for an internship. (By the way, I'm the only person at Farstar who has known Sean longer than Kevin has, although I have yet to receive a trophy or plaque for this achievement.) So I did. And I've been here ever since.

I went from intern to full-fledged employee in December 2007 when I became one of Farstar's Account Managers. Basically, I make sure my clients are happy. I get them what they need and what they want – if what they want is something we think they need. If not, I try to convince them that what they want isn't really what they need. Got that?

Outside the office, I spend time with my new husband and our two Pomeranians.

As Farstar's Account Manager, Laura keeps our clients in the loop about projects, and makes sure everyone here knows the loop exists. She can also take down Mike in a bare-knuckles brawl. Don't ask how we know that.
