Meet Katy

January 14, 2008

Posted by Katy.

I started my life as a web ninja by teaching myself development skills for fun. My education consisted of books from Barnes & Noble totaling about $300. With that book learning under my belt, I did a few websites for some small businesses. Eventually I realized I wasn't much of a designer, but databases and code were my thing. So I concentrated my ninja training on those areas.

At Farstar I focus on architecting databases and writing back-end code, primarily working on visitor tracking and reporting. It's great stuff for left-brained people.

When I’m not doing web development, you might find me plinking on my guitar, playing Minesweeper or Sudoku, reading sci-fi, watching lots of TV, and/or eating cheese.
